"Healthy, Stove-top, Apple Dessert!"

This is an easy, healthy, stove-top apple dessert!

First, begin by chopping four medium to large apples.

Place the apples in a medium sauce pan, add 1/2 water, cover, and turn the burner on high.

In a separate pan, add two tablespoons of oil, one tablespoon honey, and one tablespoon of brown sugar.   I used half olive oil, half coconut oil to make it more healthy but canola or vegetable oil would be fine.

Cook sugar/oil mixture on medium heat for about two minutes stirring continually.

Reduce heat to low and add one cup oatmeal.  You can also add nuts if you wish - I added chopped pecans. Keep stirring continually and make sure the oatmeal is completely coated.
Immediately remove from pan to glass bowl to keep it from getting stuck in the pan.

When the apples have been well steamed and are soft, add 1-2 tablespoons of honey, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, and 1/2 teaspoon of cloves.

Use a slitted spoon to dish up the apples, then add the oatmeal mixture for the topping!
