Feminine, Modest, Pretty, and Cheap!

Feminine, Modest, Pretty, and Cheap!

Finding modest dresses with the fashions of today is hard!  This is a dress that I found at a thrift store for four ($4?!) dollars!  I couldn't believe it!  Of course, if I weren't wearing an undershirt with it, it would be to low.  But I plan to alter that.  When I get the chance I'm going to make an undershirt that will bring up the neckline in the front and back of the dress.

If I would have had to pay full price for it, I would have never bought something that I had to alter, but for $4 - I don't mind doing a bit of altering at all!  I also plan to redesign the sleeves and make them a bit more my style.

I'm my hair I'm wearing a half crown of tiny pink flowers that I made.

I made the crown to wear at Lisa's wedding this coming may, but then I discovered that they matched my new dress perfectly!

First, I cut a piece of wire to the size I wanted, then I wrapped it in green, floral tape.  Next I simply stuck these little flowers on it with hot glue and tada!  I have a crown for Lisa's wedding!

I was originally planning to use these flowers for my crown for the wedding, but they just ended up being to big and would have looked funny.

Instead, I took two small bunches of these flowers and hot glued them to these little snap in, hair clips!  I will probably use them for more everyday hair flowers.
